Thailand - Ko Samed, Chiang Mai+Rai

We made a detour to the island of Ko Samed after Bangkok. It was a cute little island where you had to pay to enter the beach :D Shameless. We chilled there for two days and celebrated Silke's birthday, watched fire shows, and enjoyed fruit shakes and delicious food.

After that, we continued to the north to Chiang Mai because I really wanted to visit an elephant farm, which will have its own entry with lots of pictures *.* Before we could take the day trip to the elephants, we wandered around Chiang Mai and visited some temples, as well as various street markets where we actually found and bought our group shirt with the 'SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT' print. ;)

After that, we drove to Chiang Rai for half a day to visit the White Palace, which looked really cool. It was something completely different and I thought it was really fancy. :)
