#Prague Day 1

26.04.2019 Arrival

I meet Susanne at Düsseldorf Airport from where our plane to Prague departs. Finally, some days together 'not in winter'.

The plane is full of loud tourists (chanting football team, bachelor parties, etc.) We land in Prague with, for Eurowings, negligible delay. And surprisingly, a modern and spacious airport. (Apparently, there are countries where you can build something like this)

We take bus line 119 from the airport. You can only get tickets at the ticket machine or at the information desk at the airport. Especially ATM machines at the airport have long queues. Susanne was smart and already has Czech crowns with her 😄👍💰

Public transportation is extremely modern and has a very high frequency. After a while, we take tram 26 and get off at Letenske Nsmesti stop.

From there, it's only a few minutes walk to our Airbnb accommodation

The language.....totally incomprehensible🤦‍♀️

That probably means Ratzfatz Pizza😂

The apartment is located on the 5th floor in a house from the 50s.

Jakub welcomes us.

Jakub gives us some tips for Prague that are not in the guidebook and then we go to the Billa supermarket to stock up on essentials.

No idea what's on the shelf there, besides lots of dumpling dough. As I said, the language....completely foreign.

After having coffee on the balcony, we take a walk in the Viettel in search of dinner..
The pubs are all quite crowded, so we end up at probably the unfriendliest Italian restaurant in Prague.
The food is not really good either... But never mind, it was still a beautiful evening.

In the meantime, bad weather has set in and we walk home in the rain.

After quickly making a plan for tomorrow, we go to sleep. Good night Prague😴😴
