Our travel planning and weather forecasts took us southward.
Through Queenstown with some breaks (short hikes), we headed to Lake St. Claire National Park. Editor's Note: Tasmania feels like it is almost entirely made up of national parks, which is why a holiday pass is worth it from the 3rd day. Therefore, we stayed overnight at the lake and the next day we set our sights on the next national park. We also took an amazing walk in Mount Field National Park, which leads through the rainforest and is home to the tallest trees. After seeing enough trees and ferns after the many walks in the rainforest, and longing for the coast, we drove another four hours south to Southport.
