44. Nizwa (Oman)

Nizwa is located approximately 180 kilometers from Muscat and is called the Oasis City due to its palm groves!

The political and religious center of Oman is located on the southern edge of the Hajar Mountains near Jebel Akhdar, the highest mountain range in Oman.

We actually wanted to stay longer and explore the surroundings of Nizwa, but since our apartment was incredibly dirty and uncomfortable, the toilet was broken, and our landlord was very difficult, we fled to Muscat after the second night 🏃‍♀️🏃 where we will spend the last 2 nights before our flight to Sri Lanka!

Finally, a glimpse into our traditional Omani cuisine! Due to closed or non-existent restaurants, alternatives are rare. Luckily, we have a kitchen occasionally and can cook our own meals!
