Pitt (Pittsburgh) - 06.04. - 08.04.2017

Back to Winter!

On the journey from Niagara Falls to Pittsburgh, we were once again accompanied by bad weather with heavy rain.

After our 4-hour drive, we checked into the Comfort Inn Hotel in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, a cold front hit us upon our arrival. All news stations reported temperatures around 0 degrees and snow for the night and the next day. Despite the reports, we ventured into the city in warm clothing and booked an UBER ride to the city center via app. Under windy conditions, we fought our way through the streets of Pittsburgh. Completely frozen and windswept, we warmed up at the City Works bar/restaurant. Surrounded by bankers, we quickly felt at home :-). When we received the beer menu (not to be confused with the drink menu), we were briefly overwhelmed, as we were now allowed to choose from 90 different beers. After several attempts, we finally found one that suited our taste. After a delicious dinner, we took an UBER back to the hotel.

The next morning, we realized that the weather frogs of America were not mistaken. Snow, rain, hail, and wind were constant companions of the day. Today, too, we bravely fought our way through the icy weather to explore the great city of Pittsburgh (and of course, to give our blog followers some impressions).

We enjoyed dinner at T.G.I.F and treated ourselves to our first American steak.

On Saturday, 08.04., we will now continue to Cleveland.
