In Mae Sot, the border town, I stayed one night because I couldn't get a bus to Chiang Mai on the same day. I rode my bike around, did some shopping, and got a SIM card.

The next day, I went to the bus at 10 am and arrived in Chiang Mai at around 4:45 pm. I went to the hostel where I had stayed before. However, I didn't remember the mattress being so hard. I went to exchange money, but I was completely ignored at first and then treated rudely. Besides, the exchange rate was bad, and not all the notes were accepted. I got rid of the remaining notes and got a better rate at the exchange office opposite. The first office was one of the best in terms of name, but apparently not official, rather run by scammers. Anyway, too late.

In the evening, I lay in bed and a Serbian guy came into the room. He kept talking to me, but I actually wanted to be left alone. However, his stories were very interesting and inspiring. He walked from Venice to Madrid in 28 days with his dog at the time! They slept in a tent all the time and carried their whole lives on their backs, both him and the dog. Very inspiring and makes you think about doing something similar. We talked until late at night, but eventually our eyes closed.
