Schön, dich kennenzulernen: Baltic Sea

My first tour with AIDAbella took me to the Baltic Sea for seven days.

Kiel / Copenhagen / Gdansk / St. Petersburg / Tallinn and back to Kiel

Copenhagen

To familiarize myself with my duties, a ship buddy was assigned to me. That was Scouty Kathi for me. On the first day, she showed me all the important sights in Copenhagen during a quick tour and informed me about life on board. She has been sailing for a while and has accordingly experience. ;-) ... haha, well that can be something. I'm looking forward to it :)

Gdansk:

My first tour as a scout was 'GDY 03 - Gdansk and Sopot', which took me to Gdansk first. Here we had a very traditional guided tour of the city. I have to say, Gdansk is really a great city. The medieval flair with the many half-timbered houses enchanted me.

Here's a tip from the tour guide: Danzig Goldwasser. A great souvenir for those who stayed at home.

From the city of Gdansk, we continued by coach to the seaside resort of Sopot. A quiet place inviting you to swim. Here we had free time and could decide for ourselves whether we wanted to use the time to explore the city, take a leisurely stroll, or go for a swim.

With my tour guide, I first strolled across the seaside resort bridge and treated myself to a waffle at the end at his recommendation. :-)

St. Petersburg: Welcome to Russia

Today the following is on the program: PET04 - St. Isaac's Cathedral and boat trip

For me, it was also my first visit to Russia. With our passports, we were allowed to go to immigration early in the morning, after arriving, and have our passports stamped. For me as a globetrotter, it's a great feeling to have another destination listed in my passport.
After processing around 2,000 cruise ship guests, I got on my bus and drove with my group towards the city of St. Petersburg. Along the way, we drove past impressive buildings. St. Petersburg is really very splendid.
My first stop: The St. Isaac's Cathedral
Afterwards, we continued towards the Neva, where we had the boat trip (in the best weather and sunshine).

Tallinn:
Today on the program: TAL12 - Tallinn on foot
Together with my tour guide, we set out on foot to explore Tallinn. From the lower town, we walked up to the upper town. In doing so, we passed very impressive buildings. One house more beautiful than the other.
I have to say our walking km today was quite substantial. Since Tallinn is surrounded by a castle wall, you can only walk into the city on foot. It also has its advantages because you can really explore everything in detail.

During our break, when the guests could march off on their own, I tested the pancake house, which is very well known in Tallinn.

After a day in Tallinn, it was time to say 'Servus' and back to the ship.

Today? Sea Day - that means the guests are leaving us again tomorrow. We used our break on the sea day for ice cream.
