Welcome - Welcome again in St. Petersburg :-)

PET19 is called today's excursion - Metro ride and Alexander Nevsky Monastery

This is what a famous metro station looks like in Russia. The station "Kirovskiy Zavod" boasts monumental decoration. The sculptures on the columns symbolize coal, metallurgy, and oil industries, as well as the development of electrification.

The top goal of this excursion was not to lose any guest in the metro station. You can't imagine how difficult that is. In St. Petersburg, an incredibly large number of people ride the subway. Not losing any guests in this chaos was the biggest challenge of the day for me. After all, no one wants to leave a guest behind in St. Petersburg. ;-)

The subway ride actually went very well and was more fascinating than expected. The subway station is really beautiful and what was even more fascinating is that it is incredibly deep. :-O It is one of the deepest subway systems in the world. You could definitely tell! A ride on the subway in St. Petersburg is definitely worth it ... just to see that.

We continued to the Alexander Nevsky Monastery and then had free time in the city. I walked along Nevsky Prospekt and explored the city on foot.

... the sun is shining in St. Petersburg.
