Გამოქვეყნდა: 10.11.2022

After visiting Kalgoorlie it is time for us to head from Western Australia to South Australia via the Nullarbor. The Nullarbor starts officially at Norseman, so Stuart wanted to ride with the tin camels to South Australia. Well, after exploring the small town a bit, we could persuade Stuart to come with us in the car to the Nullarbor.

First stop on the Nullarbor took us to the Newman Rock Lookout. There was not much to see except a lizard, some wildflowers and countless flies biting and attacking us...

So we drove on to Balladonia, where we first looked for a good spot on the campground for our car with the rooftop-tent. Then Stuart wanted to visit the Balladonia Museum, where he wanted to steal this NASA space station part on display. The NASA space station crashed in the area of Balladonia once, so that the area was worldwide named in the news. The museum also offers some information on the Nullarbor and sights along the way to the east.

For the evening we decided to eat in the Balladonia Roadhouse because they had a vegetarian option available, very uncommon for Western Australia. On the way to dinner, we saw dark clouds coming in and took photos, because it looked so beautiful. Well, little we did know at this point...
