Day 2 🎾🏆

Გამოქვეყნდა: 05.07.2016

Today is the day when it's starting to get difficult for me to continue writing this blog in German... 🙄😬😂. But I'm really excited to be able to write it today because so many exciting and wonderful things happened 😍🌟.

Yesterday ended with a beautiful sunset that I enjoyed with a friend from São Paulo while music was playing on the soccer field and you could do almost any sport there. There was also a water slide.

That's fantastic...😍😯

We agreed to have breakfast at 7:30 this morning 🍞🍯. After breakfast, we took the campus tram directly to the SPRI Fitness Center, where we started the Physical Conditioning at 9:00. The trainer there is doing a really good job, he is really likable but still serious enough to feel like a drill instructor 🗣💂🏾.

There, after running and stretching to warm up, we started with exercises that lasted 20 seconds each. Then there was a break of 20 seconds and we started all over again 🕑.

After that, we went to the court and worked on our backhand and serves. Once again, I learned so much from the training. The good thing is that you have a different trainer every day, so when you put everything together later on, you can get the best out of everything 💪🏽.

Then it was time for lunch. The food here is really good. During lunch, I met someone else who is in a tennis group with Joao, the Brazilian. His name is Josh and he's from New Mexico, and he's also really cool 🙃. When we were done, we went to see the indoor facilities.

At 2:00, it was time for English. However, during that time, the others first had a mental coaching session and then another 1 1/2 hours of match play. This is actually really important to me because I find mental training super interesting and the additional playing experience will only make me better 🏋🏼. But since I couldn't decide on it because of the scholarship, my parents took care of it. With success. This afternoon, I actually had my first mental coaching session.

And it was so cool! As I said, I'm really interested in that kind of thing and besides that, discussing Setting Goals was a really exciting topic 😊.

After the coaching at the Wooden Center - named after John Wooden, a former basketball player who is now a coach - we went back to the court 🎾. This time, we played singles. This also helped me a lot to practice things on my own, like body and emotional control, and of course, to get more game practice.

I won my set 6:1 ☺️🏆.

After the training, I met Joao. Josh is a non-boarder, which means he is here with his parents and they live off-campus or in one of the houses that can be rented on campus 🏠, so he only eats lunch here and you don't see him in the morning or evening.

We then went to different places, the stadium, the pool, and the performance center.

After that, Joao got a smoothie from the Smoothie King, which is everywhere here. It was something with strawberry 🍓.

Then we went straight to dinner and later walked around here and there... 👣🚶🏾, until now I'm sitting in my bed after a refreshing shower, feeling completely exhausted but really satisfied with everything 🙇🏼😻🌞.

There will be a little special in tomorrow's post...✨😇

Wait and see...

'I play tennis five hours a week, from Monday to Friday, for one hour every day. I like to be fit. If I can't exercise, I feel bad - I need to sweat and run to feel like I'm in good shape.' Bjorn Borg

You know what? I am doin'! 👆🏾😻 Consequently I think I'm doin good...
