Day 14: Icke started talking to two couples our age on the beach today. One of the women approached her about the sticker from my Morocco tour that was on the back of our motorhome. Last year the four met a couple who had the same sticker on their motorhome. They were 100 percent sure it was the exact same sticker. That would mean that they met participants from our tour back then who stopped in Guardamar del Segura on the way back to Germany. That would of course be a huge coincidence. I'll investigate...
Icke was deeply impressed by the conversation with one of the two women. The woman from Wiesbaden told her about her difficult fate: she has four children and two of them are severely disabled. The fourth child, also severely disabled, died at the age of nine. She and her husband are looking for a home in Spain for their son and daughter because the weather here would be very good for them. With such a difficult fate, your own problems quickly become smaller. Icke gave the woman and her cousin two of her hiking stones. The two of them were very happy and beamed from ear to ear. Who knows, maybe the stones will bring the families a little bit of luck. It would be nice for them.
Today we walked to Alfonso Park, where many families meet, especially on weekends. It is estimated that the number of residents in this beautiful little town triples on Saturdays and Sundays. This is where people who live further inland move into their holiday apartments and enjoy the beautiful weather on the beach.
Today I confronted our weak points in the on-board electrical system with a few tricks that are as new to you as they are to me. Let's see what happens …
