Today, we explored some parts of Oslo. We parked the car near the castle and visited it first. However, since the royal family lives there, we could only see it from the outside. From the castle, Karl Johans Street leads down to the city. This street is one of Oslo's most famous shopping streets. So, we also walked along the street and looked at shop windows. The street leads to Oslo Cathedral, which we also visited. From there, we continued towards the Opera House, which we admired from the outside and then took a walk along the pier.
Then, we headed to Grünerløkka district. This area is known for its second-hand shops and cafes. It's a very nice neighborhood for those who love second-hand stores like us. Unfortunately, we didn't find anything here, but it's always nice to experience the atmosphere.
On our way back to the car, we walked through the city center. The problem was that we didn't know exactly where we were. So, we were totally focused on Google Maps and the directions when suddenly two Norwegians approached us. Since they spoke Norwegian and we were already confused, we first looked at them in total confusion. They switched to English immediately, and a nice conversation ensued. We even exchanged Snapchats so we could message each other if we wanted to meet up in the next few days. We said goodbye and finally found our way back to the car.
Back at the campsite, we made dinner and then chatted with one of the Norwegians. We made plans to meet at a club tonight, Blå. We got ready and drove there.
When we arrived at the club, where the two of them wanted to go in with us, we met them outside. However, the club didn't open until 8 pm and the bouncers wouldn't make an exception, even though we had older companions. So, we went to a bar across the street and just talked. It was quite fun and nice. Around midnight, the two of them had to leave. We said goodbye and Marie and I decided to take a short walk. Then we drove back to the campsite.
However, when we arrived, we noticed that the gate was closed. So, we had to park the car outside and take everything we needed for the evening with us.
We quickly prepared the bed and went to sleep.
