On the weekend, we went on a bigger excursion again. This time we went south for the first time to the 7 Tazas National Park, which is about 330 km away from Santiago. The park is about 4000 hectares in size and great for camping and hiking. It was really nice to get out of the city for a few days and into nature. We stayed overnight in a wooden cabin right in the forest, and during the day we could hike to waterfalls, rivers, and the famous 7 Tazas. These are 7 basins into which the water from the Río Claro flows one after the other. You could even climb pretty close to one of the waterfalls if you weren't afraid of getting wet feet in the riverbed. But in the end, the effort was definitely worth it!
