Hahei Beach and cathedral Cove

Today we had pancakes for breakfast.

After breakfast we made our way to the cathedral cove. It is known for a rock in the sea and a hole in the rock. The steep path lasted three-quarters of an hour up and down the mountain. Very exhausting for us unsporty people 😅

But the path is worth it. The turquoise blue water and the white deserted sandy beach are worth every effort. After the hike, we took a boat tour along the Hahei Beach and the cathedral cove. On the tour, we saw caves and cliffs that no one else gets to see. The highlight was when we saw sea lions sunning themselves.

In the evening we continued to a free campspot in Tairua. Here we quickly made a hot pancake soup and then quickly into the warm bed as it gets quite cold at night. We will stay here until tomorrow morning.
