After enjoying a nice evening with live music yesterday, we started from our accommodation at 11 o'clock. In Galway, we visited the market (which takes place every Saturday) and enjoyed the view of the sea (Galway Bay / Salthill). Afterwards, we had burgers and chicken wings at Scotty's Burgers & Wings. Our next destination led us further towards the northwest. We passed the town of Clifden among others and are camping tonight at a caravan park (€22/night). It is located near Connemara National Park. Unfortunately, it has been raining continuously since this afternoon (at about 15 °C) and we have to spend the evening and the night in the car.
Mileage: 3,300 km
Insight of the day: Roads can run along a lake for 20 km without a turn-off and then simply end in nothingness!
