After much uncertainty about whether our vacation and flights would take place due to Corona, we landed in San José, the capital of Costa Rica, yesterday without any major problems via Paris. Right at the airport, we were greeted by the motto 'Pura Vida' of the Costa Ricans, who call themselves Ticos. With our limited Spanish, we quickly arranged a taxi and headed to our charming hotel with a garden. The next day, we explored San José on foot at a pleasant 24 degrees and took care of the last errands, like buying water and finding an ATM with dollars. The city is certainly not a highlight in Costa Rica, but a few beautiful colonial buildings, colorful street art, and many lovely gardens are worth a day. In the end, we got a taste of Costa Rica's diverse flora and fauna in the small zoo and botanical garden. Although it was New Year's Eve, we went to bed early because the next day our adventure Camino de Costa Rica starts very early at 4 am.
