The second day in London starts off oddly. Our regular bus suddenly slows down and I look out the window. A tall, older man in a tailcoat and top hat is walking in front of a hearse, followed by two stretch limousines. Towards the church. Everything is orderly, no one honks.
In London, we charter a so-called hop-on hop-off bus, which takes us to all the sights. First, we pass through Fleet Street (where all of London's newspapers used to be made).
The oldest pub in London was first mentioned in 1560.
Past St Paul's Cathedral
Before the visit, quickly strengthened in a pub.
Then to the top attraction.
I even go into the towers, but Doro unfortunately has to stay outside because of her fear of heights.
View from the window
You can climb up inside the staircase and visit a permanent exhibition, which features many pictures and films. There are also old tools used during construction and historical documents.
You can then walk on a glass floor in the two connecting corridors. 35m above the road, here's the video:
Unfortunately, it starts raining heavily afterwards and we decide to end the tour at the alternative Camden Market.
We have a lot of fun there and visit a great pub to finish off.
