We reach Florence in the early afternoon, but with our large bus we can't find a suitable parking spot. Either no spaces available or not enough space. After 2 hours, we end up driving frustrated to the most beautiful viewpoint over Florence, Piazza Michelangelo.
The view is incredible and the weather is nice.
We can't stop taking photos.
Our camping spot is right below the square, on the side street.
On the steps of the square, there are many young people sitting, one is playing the guitar, but pretty badly. Honestly, it's a bit of noise.
From up here, the city is beautiful.
Since it's already late, we spend the night here and plan to walk to the old town on foot the next morning.
Unfortunately, the weather is bad and it's drizzling, plus a cold wind.
The Ponte San Nicolo, the beginning of the jewelry shops.
On the bridge, there's a lot to see.
We continue into the city.
In the city center, the sights are crowded with tourists from Asia and the USA, they are standing in four rows, some as far as 200m, like at the Da Vinci Museum and the Cathedral.
That's not for us. Waiting in the rain for 2 hours and paying expensive entrance fees? No...
We stroll through the city, have dinner, and later have an espresso. Florence doesn't really captivate us, it lacks charm, despite all the sights.
