Hello hello,
This morning, as announced, we took the panoramic train from Mallaig to Fort William. During the two-hour journey, we had a beautiful view of the Scottish Highlands and a nostalgic train coming towards us.
Arriving in Fort William, we dragged our backpacks up the hill to our accommodation. The arduous climb was worth it, as our accommodation not only has generous amenities and a charming older host with a stocked fridge, but also a beautiful view of the two lakes, Loch Linhe and Loch Leven.
We spent the afternoon hiking. In about 4 hours, we circumnavigated the local mountain of Fort William and even reached the summit, all with a breathtaking view, of course.
Now we will make use of the great accommodation with some hair washing, cooking, and laundry before we go to Glasgow tomorrow morning.
See you tomorrow,
Veronika and Christine
