The first encounter with Gary

When we were invited to visit friends in the Gohlis district of Leipzig on a Saturday in September 2023, the train drove past an old mobile home shortly before the destination stop. As he drove past, Sebb noticed that there was a note in the window of the vehicle that read:

When we got off the tram, Sebb just asked if we had another two minutes to take a look at what was on offer. Just like that, without obligation, just to get a feeling. It would be completely crazy. Ines agreed, we made good time. We crept around the vehicle, it was definitely old, a Hymer, with a bike rack, in shades of brown, not exactly a beauty. But the price sounded like it could represent the total. We took a photo of the notice and Sebb wrote a short message to the seller asking whether the offer was still current and whether we could take a look at the vehicle. Of course, the idea was still to get an impression first in order to be prepared for the real purchase later.

That was the end of our first contact with Gary and we continued our visit.
