Volterra - Day five

Our trip inland was very nice and very hot. But you have to do that and can't just lie by the sea all the time. Volterra is a village built on porous tuff stone in a bizarre hilly landscape. The place has 11,000 inhabitants and lives on tourism and alabaster (I bought myself an alabaster egg). The little one has finally found a very big swimming ring so that he can have fun on vacation too. Well, now we're going to the pool and tonight we'll have the first pizza (it's about time)!
