15th day Almunecar behind La Rapita

Today we covered nearly 70km and 700m of elevation gain. After a good breakfast, we continued from the hotel. The weather was nice, but it got windy in the afternoon. The area here is mainly used for its scenic beauty. At the beginning, there were fields with red, white, and green cabbage, and towards the end, there were many greenhouses covered with plastic foil. The downside is that there are very few hotels in the area. To avoid riding too many kilometers, we stayed in a small hotel along the way. We booked it directly on site, not through the internet. It used to be a good hotel, but not anymore. We suspect that the three women with three small children who used to run the hotel couldn't keep it anymore after a family incident and were glad to have two cash-paying guests. However, the place is very basic and in bad shape. At least we have a sink and a toilet. The small village has a small store where we were able to get a few cans of beer, some bread, and sausage. Drink some beer, eat a snack, and sleep. When the sun rises, we'll be on our way again.
