We've arrived in paradise, not sure where it could get any better. We're staying at a special BnB on Bluff Beach in the Bocas region, where we were warmly welcomed!
Unfortunately, the start here was a bit tough for me, as my overseas problem caught up with me after 10 days. But the two hosts are taking good care of me, and Benni of course π, and I hope things will get better tomorrow.
This entry is called "Welcome to the Jungle" for two reasons. First, we're living in the jungle and all the rooms here have names. Second, there's plenty of wildlife here, we're awakened by howler monkeys in the morning, a little gecko is currently living in our bathroom, and there are also creatures like this one (about the size of my hand) here π¨
Well, since I was knocked out and slept a lot, we took it easy today. We deserve it, after being quite active the past few days!
Pumped up with electrolytes and paracetamol (that's me), we took a little walk on the beach and found a new dog friend. He seemed quite warm, so we shared our water with him.
The fact that the beach here looks like a postcard is one thing. But what's really great is that there's hardly anyone else here. Only every few hundred meters, when we come across a small beach bar, is there someone lying in a hammock...
Well, the day passed by leisurely with lots of dog cuddling (Lucky is always happy with us).
Now we're sitting on the cozy porch, Benni probably with a beer and me with my superhero electrolyte drink, listening to the sound of the sea. It's quite active here, so we can't swim directly. A small downside π
