Today we are in Brønnøysund. It is a small place with about 5,000 inhabitants. It was only founded in the early 20th century. Accordingly, there are hardly any cultural attractions here. The 'city center' has a few older wooden houses, 'shopping centers', and a church, which is nothing special either.
One attraction is located a bit outside of town. It is the mountain Torghatten, which is about 14 km away. For this, Tommy rented a bike (Maria did not want to come along) and rode there. The mountain is just under 260m high and has a 35m high hole. This was eroded by the sea during the last ice age when the land was still rising. The path first leads over a high, narrow bridge. It is somewhat uncomfortable because it is quite windy there. However, it then passes beautiful landscapes, coves, and lakes. The hiking trail around Torghatten takes you around the mountain and through the hole. It is well developed, and you have nice views. On the way back, Tommy missed the 'city center' by 10 km but still arrived on time at the agreed meeting point.
Now we are back on the ship, have eaten something, bathed, and enjoyed the pleasant temperatures.
