From the Iguazu Falls we flew over Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. The city was much larger than we expected, but it didn't offer many attractions and it wasn't particularly beautiful either. Ultimately, it thrives on being the 'Gateway to Antarctica' and flirts with its location 'at the end of the world'.
Of course, there were several excursions we could have taken here (e.g. to the surrounding mountains, to see penguins, or to Chile), but we didn't have the time. We spent the day we had available with a short city tour and a stroll through all the souvenir shops to stock up and do our shopping. Then it was time to pack up again and prepare for embarkation.
With that, we say goodbye for good to the world's largest internet hole and will be back in mid-February.
