We have now 12 hours and slept well. At 07.30 we are (almost) awake again. I read about a great cafe in a magazine, only 10 minutes away. We want to go there now.
First we walk in the wrong direction....... Not quite uncritical before breakfast. But then we sit in the fouratefive (it has the house number 485) and enjoy our coffee, Jo his muesli with fresh fruit and I my pancakes with berry compote. (Maybe there was also a little mascarpone cream). All organic, fresh and super delicious. Yummie!
We still can't believe it, we're in Sydney!
Refreshed, we walk to Central Station to take the hop on - hop off bus to the Harbour Bridge. The 24-hour ticket purchased the day before is still valid for 1 hour (next to be wasted).
This time we also get off at the Harbour Bridge and walk to Circular Quai. Today we want to take the ferry to Manly.
The ride there is beautiful, past the Opera House and the Sydney skyline.
Manly itself is not soooo beautiful, but the beach is amazing and full of surfers.
It's really irritating to see Christmas decorations (video) in the stores. STRANGE
After 2 hours we take the ferry back and have a delicious lunch right on the Quai.
Then we take the train to the Sydney Tower Eye.
With an estimated 1,000 Asians, we enjoy the breathtaking view from up there.
By now I have blisters on my feet and have to go back to our accommodation. Hopefully they will be better tomorrow and I can walk again.
