So far, I have been doing well being myself and doing my thing while traveling.
And so, the day before yesterday, I took a great free walking tour in Amsterdam and went shopping at LIDL.
Also, it remains the same: going to the cinema in each stage!
Last night, I watched 'The Untouchable'. It was a documentary about Harvey Weinstein. Worth watching!
Actually, I wanted to go to a cinema from 1926. Film, audio guide and a cup of coffee...
But then it started:
Being someone else sometimes!
It was ladies' night! Damn! So, I was out!
During the day, I was very happy to be myself again and went to the 'moco' museum to see the Banksy exhibition. It was great!
Thank you for the tip, Sylvia!
Afterwards, the feeling of breaking free and being someone else became too strong, so I decided to take a tram ride for 2 stops without a ticket! 🚋
An outlaw, a daredevil, someone who loves risks...
This decision cost me a lot of strength, nerves, and excitement... but hey, I got on without a ticket!!!
If only a ticket inspector had come and I had paid the fine. But it was even worse.
I got on and stood right in front of the lady in the photo:
'Goede dag! Which ticket do you want?'
What should I have said? Hey, honey, I'm cool, I'm different, I'm riding without a ticket?
So, I shamefully put my 3 euros on the counter and suddenly I was myself again.
Lesson learned: It's not that easy to escape from yourself.
But for the rest of the day...
Motto: I will be someone else, I will be like Viviane!
Viviane is a colleague and she loves Amsterdam. She's great and different from me. I asked her for some tips and now I'm sticking to it.
And it's great! ✌️
I ate burgers at 'Vegan Junk Food' (fries with parmesan and truffle oil, a masterpiece!),
And I went to a shop and ordered a Hawaiian Poké Bowl. It's a salad with crazy ingredients like seaweed and dried kelp. Both were really great and super delicious. I would have never gone to such places on my own.
It's a good thing I'm doing this now.
However, I had to endure the disdainful look of other customers (all XS, athletic, fashionable, hip, beautiful...). I could practically hear their thoughts. 'Well, what are you doing here, fatty, Burger King is across the street!' 🤣
And the project continues: 'I will be someone else, I will be like Viviane!'
After the movie, I actually stayed out late, past 10:30 pm!!!
Wow!
And it's continuing today... 'Rainbowls' and 'The Avocado Show'... but also a bit of myself: Van Gogh Museum. 🤭
Update 14:33:
Very, very late breakfast at 'Rainbowls'.
Oh, so beautiful! 😍
