Road trip to Aichach

So that it doesn't look so empty here, I'll write something now.

Today is December 31, 2016, Padi's birthday and the last day of the year!

Tomorrow starts a new and very exciting year for us, we're traveling to Australia!

In 60 days, we will already be on the plane on our way to the other side of the world.

The excitement is slowly building... :)

For Padi's birthday breakfast, we set off to Aichach at 8 o'clock this morning.

After about two hours of driving, during which we were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise, we finally had breakfast.

We ordered our 'standard breakfast,' delicious white sausages with pretzels for each of us, and as an addition, Padi treated himself to the deluxe breakfast.

The nice thing about the pastry shop is that everything, really everything, is gluten-free! There are all kinds of cakes and pastries, chocolates, delicious sweets, and of course, bread, rolls, and pretzels. In addition, the staff and the owner, Mr. Schenkel, are very warm and welcome everyone with a smile.

As a birthday gift, Padi received a large piece of Black Forest cherry cake (which he ate with coffee this afternoon).

Since we won't have time to go for breakfast again next year due to our travel plans, we received a delicious lucky charm for our trip! Just adorable *__*

Since we have been on the road today for quite a while, driving over 500 km, we are now just relaxing. For dinner, we will have homemade gluten-free burgers (they are simply the best). They should serve as the basis for a nice birthday/New Year's celebration. ;)

Here's to a beautiful, eventful, healthy 2017 full of love and delicious food...
