Last night I slept badly. I wake up around 3.45am and initially can't fall back asleep.
Maybe it's some excitement about the return journey. Before I leave for the ferry at 11am, I take a look at the market hall at the harbor.
Around noon we head to the harbor, which is 20 km away, where Finnlines docks. It's a beautiful ride along the water. I enjoy the last kilometers very much.
Check-in at Finnlines goes smoothly, but then we wait for another hour and three-quarters in the blazing sun until four cyclists are directed towards the ferry by the Follow Me car.
Finally, I'm in the cabin and looking forward to the shower.
We depart at 4.45pm, Finnish time, with a half-hour delay.
I have thirty hours ahead of me on the calm Baltic Sea. Eating, reading, listening to podcasts, looking at the Baltic Sea, chatting, and changing sleep.
