Lake Constance 2015 - Pfänder

For our only full day at Lake Constance, we decided to take a trip to Pfänder in Austria. I had been there years ago when I was on vacation at Lake Constance with my grandparents. Unfortunately, the weather didn't really improve, it was still as cloudy as the day before.

Into the mountains!

You can reach Pfänder by cable car. During the ride, you actually have a nice view, but because of the weather, there wasn't much to see. After a few hundred meters, we drove through the cloud cover. When we arrived at the top, I was totally amazed: we were greeted by bright sunshine! We had driven up into the sun through the thick cloud cover. A joyful surprise! We first enjoyed the view from above and were happy about the sun. The clouds looked almost like snow. I was totally enthusiastic about the landscape. Then I realized that I hadn't really seen a great mountain landscape yet. We should definitely go to the mountains sometime!

After an extensive walk, we sat down and had a snack. I would have loved to stay here, the weather was simply much nicer up here than down by the lake. However, we wanted to visit Lindau on our way back to the hotel. And since it was already getting dark quite early, we had to make our way back soon.
