We arrived in Delmenhorst on Tuesday, July 5th and were immediately able to enjoy my mom's potato salad. My big brother was also there for dinner and we were surprised by Nadine and her two boys.
We met up with friends every day, sometimes with Kathrin and her little Mieke at the playground in the Graft. With Timo+Janina and their daughters Mia and Leni, the girls showed me their rooms and that they sleep together in one room during the holidays on a huge bed. Of course, we also had a spontaneous barbecue. Luca came by with Paula and we had a great afternoon in the garden at my parents' house. We also visited the Breminale with Emma+Ulla and Mimi. On Friday, my sister Melanie and her family came from Hamburg and we had a great day swimming in the pool and everything that goes with it. We had a nice end on Monday with Johanna+Jörn and Mailin.
Per kept the grandparents busy. The stairs were his favorite and he went up and down all day. He even slid down on his stomach because it was too slow to go down properly.
The first injury also happened at the grandparents' house. Per turned on turbo mode while crawling and his hand couldn't keep up, so he had a face plant and tore his lip frenulum. It bled like crazy and because he screamed, I got covered in blood. Fortunately, he calmed down relatively quickly and in the end, it wasn't too bad.
On Tuesday, after 9 weeks, we were supposed to head back to Hameln. We were a bit curious about getting back to our normal everyday life and everything that comes with it. But we were also looking forward to it.
We made it back easily and Per, as we are used to, slept through the entire drive.
There aren't too many photos right now because my dad took most of them and we don't have them yet. Maybe they will be added later.
