Barra do Santo Antônio - Praia do Carro Quebrado

On February 12th, we continued our journey to Barra do Santo Antônio. We would have liked to take a bus to save some money, but unfortunately, no one could provide us with information about buses heading north. On the internet, you can only find buses from one big city to the next big city. Since the next town was only about 44km away, we decided to take an Uber. The ride there was quite exciting as the next accommodation was quite remote. Even the Uber driver wasn't sure if we should continue. But eventually, we found the beautiful accommodation and we were thrilled. We found the accommodation lovingly decorated with hammocks, bathtubs in the ground as a pool with a view of the city, peninsula, and the sea.

The owner explained to us that he only runs the accommodation as a hobby and still has a regular job. Nevertheless, the owner had all day for us, which was very convenient because we wanted to go to "Praia do Carro Quebrado". He had offered to drive us there. We had underestimated the distance, so we felt a bit uncomfortable that the owner had to drive us so far. However, it turned out that he was still enthusiastic about the sight, and rightly so!

We spent about 3 hours at the beach. The owner of the accommodation had arranged a ride for us back. However, we had not expected this kind of ride. After being dropped off, the owner picked us up and we went to a small restaurant where we had Parmesan schnitzel for 3€. We spent the evening in the hammocks with a beautiful view. The night was not so pleasant for one of us, as the accommodation was located in the forest and there were many insects on the walls.
