Today is another travel day. We packed our seven things (in the truest sense of the word, because that's all my wife had with us) and finally drove off to the last stops on the audio tour we started yesterday.
The highlight is the Montmorency Falls - very close and wet.
You could have taken the cable car up and started a tour over a bridge above the falls
and then to get to the foot of the falls via many stairs.
Unfortunately, time was on our backs and so we only took the short walk to the foot of the falls.
There are still 4 hours of driving ahead of us. We decide on the tour along the St. Lawrence River, which is a little longer but perhaps more interesting than the highway on the way there. However, sorry to correct myself, we saw the river twice. Schahaatz once again tried out how sweet things affect him and did some eye care. The rest was corn fields and green meadows, so not spectacular either.
Thanks to rush hour, we had to return the rental car late, but that wasn't a problem since we received it late👍. However, checking into the hotel is very time-consuming. A coach arrived shortly before us and the travelers all wanted to go to their rooms at once.
We briefly considered doing a hop-on hop-off tour by night, unfortunately it was only available in French and then the result would have been “wauhouauoohuwauhuhwauou” (Welsh).
So we look for a nice restaurant
and for the final cocktail, befitting the bar at the Ritz Carlton.
