The host family ❤️

Since Friday we have been living with the host family. Our family consists of Emma (host mother), Jamie (host father), Addison (10), Payton (8), 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 5 horses 😍.

Our task is actually to pick up the children from school and play with them afterwards. Occasionally, we also have to do housework and cook...

At the moment, the children are on vacation and what can I say... I hate children 😩 as nice as the 8-year-old can be, most of the time she's just annoying, cheeky, and loud. Even her big sister supports us and helps us with her when she's once again acting up...

The good thing about all this is that the host parents are super nice and we can make ourselves at home. We have our own car and we only share the bathroom with the children.

Our house is just in the middle of nowhere on the mountain. The area is called Hawke's Bay. We drive 20 minutes to the nearest town where you can find everything.

The first few days were pretty exhausting... the children always want to play and don't help with the household chores. Nothing works here without sweets. There don't seem to be any rules here either, but we'll manage.
