Between all the touristic sides, we saw the wild side of Cambodia. One good thing for us was the fact that the rainy saison started and for that reason we found some awesome campspots with nobody around, except the beauty of the nature. At some days, specially in the north of Cambodia it was more than stressfull to sleep in the wild. More than 45° during the day made it unpossible to sleep in the car. but all changed , when we arrived in the south at the sea and it was kind of perfect in the national parks. One of the mystical places we found is the Bokur Mountain. When you stand on a roof of a ruin and watch the fog passing by its a feeling that i can not discribe. But not everything was great and we saw how badly the influence of people can destroy the environment. Specially the chinese love the country, cause with money its even possible to build a huge ugly casinos in the middle of a national park. And one of the most horrible disasters we saw is the plastic waste all over the country and specially in the sea. Its dangerous to walk barefoot on the beach cause there is so much garbage around. Of course on the main touristic beach is not that much around, because the locals clean it during the night, but on some really nice hidden places it is horrible. But all in all we loved the country and for us Cambodia has one of the best kitchens in south east asia. We can recommend two dishes you have to try when you visit the country: LOK LAK and FISH AMOK. aND OF COURSE THE FAMOUS kHMER coffee. But take care. It is easy to get ADDICTED ;)
