First of all, nothing happened to us :-))). Honestly, yesterday I just didn't feel like writing anything about Nha Trang. I found this place too touristy. The beach area, the beach bars, the ocean, and our hotel were very nice. It was just the surroundings that I didn't like, so I didn't want to write 'ANYTHING' about it.
This morning we were picked up by a double-decker sleeper bus. I had never seen this type of bus before, but it was somehow really cool. At first, I couldn't imagine lying on the top bunk, but it was great! You can stretch out your legs and lie comfortably. The journey usually takes 4 hours and 30 minutes, but we kept picking up passengers from the roadside in between, so it took almost 6 hours. But I didn't care about any of that because I had my fantastic Vietnam back and I was excitedly looking out the window the whole time :-)))
As soon as we left Nha Trang behind, I could smile again. Finally, I could see them again: the rice fields, the fruit plantations, the locals - who were working diligently in their fields. Oh, this is 'my' Vietnam. It was fascinating to see that for almost the entire journey, there was a lush green mountain beside us and various fields in front of it. The villages we passed were also interesting to see. Here, it was all about livestock/sheep farming and harvesting field and garden crops. I took snapshots in between. The bus ride was super nice - I find the scenic highlights you see during the journey very impressive.
After a 6-hour journey, we arrived at our - sorry... but I have to write it like this... 'mega awesome resort' and the amazing thing is, they also upgraded us here. From a room with a balcony + sea view, we now have a bungalow with a balcony + sea view! Yes, this is how you can enjoy it here in Mui Ne....grinning.
We were at our beach bar earlier and the sky started to darken. There was a great thunderstorm, right above us. I find it fascinating, the lightning over the sea and the intense thunder. Beautiful :-)))!
When it stopped, we took an evening walk along the beach. Since it's already pitch dark here at 5:30 pm, we armed ourselves with two flashlights and walked along the sea. We collected beautiful seashells and I actually found a 200,000 VND banknote. We had a super tasty meal and drinks at a local beach bar with that money :-))))! I'm really sorry for the person who lost it :-(!
Sightseeing is planned for tomorrow, we want to visit the red and white sand dunes..... I'm really looking forward to it... so many greetings from Anke and Daniela.... Tschöööööööööööö from Mui Ne ;-)
