Knysna / Brenton on Sea

On Monday morning, we packed all our stuff back into the car to continue to the next location.

Before leaving the town of Knysna (pronounced: "Nei-sna"), we drove to the adjacent island that can be reached by road from the mainland. Thesen Island is located in the middle of the large lagoon of Knysna and is known for its luxury villas.

After that, we made a detour to the Brenton on Sea Viewpoint, which offers a beautiful view of Knysna and the lagoon.

Knysna is unique because there is saltwater outside and freshwater within the lagoon. We then drove from the viewpoint to Brenton Beach. Since the beach was very beautiful, we grabbed our backpack with towels and lay down on the sand. When we were relaxing on the beach, a huge wave unexpectedly came, and we were no longer on the sand but in the middle of the water. So our relaxed break on the beach was over, and we headed to our next accommodation in Plettenberg.
