Pilgrims everywhere!

The night was once again short. I was so cold that I couldn't sleep, and I was lying next to the door, the worst place in the room.

Every morning the same. I wait for Kay... always. Well, I'll remember that for the future. On the way, we encounter many, many new pilgrims. When we thought there were already many in Leon, we didn't know that it would multiply even more from Sarria. The hostels now cost twice as much and the price of coffee, etc. has risen. We are very sad because we no longer get nice snacks with our coffee. It seems to me that the Camino is now more commercial than dedicated to the original good faith. So we quickly lose the desire to walk. Spaniards talking loudly everywhere.

Today we walk to Portomarin. I imagine a small town by the river with a port. When we arrive in Portomarin, we cross a huge bridge, many meters below the bridge a small stream winds its way. Although I was expecting a big river, I am not disappointed because in the water you can discover the ruins of the original Portomarin. A friend tells me later that they flooded it with a reservoir.

Tonight we will sleep in a... I don't know... 100-person room... separated by curtains, but it is clean and only about 30 people are in the room with us. A group we have known for several days invites us to dinner. There is, who would have thought, pasta. We drink delicious red wine and, surprisingly, have delicious cheese with it. For dessert (wine and beer), we go to the bar next door. Luckily, George finds a guitar and we sing together. My absolute favorite days!
