Shortly after 9:00 AM, I left the ship and wandered along the shore to find the starting point of my today's venture. I found it at the beginning of a museum harbor, where dozens of small boats were moored. A floating object was a little off to the side and turned out to be a sauna that could be booked online.
Since I had plenty of time, I walked past intricate sand sculptures towards the city center, also looked around in a shopping mall there, and returned to the starting point of my next adventure around 11:30 AM. I had booked a 'Speed Sightseeing' for 12:00 PM.
Among the twelve passengers of the speedboat was a Californian couple from the Serenade. We chatted until we were given life jackets and allowed to board.
Initially, we set off at a leisurely pace, but as soon as we were outside the harbor, our captain kicked it up and sped off at high speed. It was hard to say if he was actually reaching the top speed of sixty knots that the boat was reportedly capable of.
Anyway, we had to brave the waves by pushing off the ground with our feet like when trotting, whenever we fell into a trough of the waves. It became cozy when we reached inhabited islands, between which we cruised slowly.
On the return journey, we raced back towards my floating home at high speed. I felt like a pirate attacking my prey.
We returned safe and satisfied. I went to lunch on our ship, listened to the string trio, and after dinner, endured the singer Toni Warne. Neither her voice nor her song selection could impress me.
