Hellooooooooo everyone ☺️
Yesterday we went to Patong as planned and had a really great evening!
We took a taxi to Patong to Bangla Road and started with a delicious dinner.
Afterwards we walked along Bangla Road, drinking, dancing and laughing until we were actually broke 😁
Somehow we miscalculated and ended up with a lot less money than we thought 😅
At 1:30 a.m. we took the tuktuk back to the accommodation and sat on the terrace for a while. The evening was really fun and the next day we were both grateful not to have packed more money 😁
This morning the alarm went off at 9:00 am. It was actually pretty late, but it ended up being 4 a.m. for us, so we didn't get up very rested.
We finished packing everything and closed the door promptly at 11 a.m. As soon as the door closed, Kevin asked me if I had the key. At the same time, I assumed that Kevin had already put the key back in the key saver. We looked at each other, then at the door - it was a security door that locks itself.
Luckily, an employee came by at that moment and after about half an hour he managed to break into the house. We were so relieved! The key then went straight into the save and we were able to continue our program.
We were allowed to leave our luggage there so we could go and have something to eat in a relaxed manner without the hassle of lugging around ☺️
After lunch we returned the scooter and flagged down a tuktuk that took us to the next port.
Everything turned out perfectly! Just as we reached the harbor the boat started boarding.
We set off at 3:10 p.m., only 10 minutes late. About halfway through, the boat took a break between two islands and the crew began installing a rain cover. Shortly afterwards it started to rain heavily and we waited a few minutes for the rain to let up.
In the end, despite the break, we were only 20 minutes late, which is totally fine for us today ☺️.
When we arrived on land in Krabi, we took a taxi of sorts, but it was a scooter with a sidecar. The ride was quite fun in the rickety thing, only when he stopped there was no hotel. At the time we had no internet because we needed a new SIM card (the old one had expired) and the address was correct. We got out and inquired about our accommodation at a shop. Luckily they knew where we wanted to go and also a feasible distance: 1 kilometer.
We loaded up our luggage and set off. Since we have already had the experience that certain Thais simply give any direction if they don't know the answer, we soon started to feel unsafe.
We took a break at the next restaurant, had a drink and logged in via their WiFi to check the statement. His directions were completely correct and we were already a little more than halfway there.
After refreshment, we continued walking and reached the hotel a short time later.
We received very friendly service and were driven by the hotel's own transfer to a property about five minutes away.
The current accommodation is a real dream! We are elevated on the slope, have a wonderful view of the mountains, jungle and sea plus our own pool built outside! The rest of the inside is also beautifully designed - we absolutely freaked out with joy ☺️.
Then it got even better: we reserved a scooter, which was delivered directly to our door and for tomorrow we booked a breakfast like we've never experienced before ☺️
But you know us: more on that tomorrow
At 7:30 p.m. we drove down to the beach, had a delicious dinner and bought a few supplies.
Now let's slowly call it a day and say:
Good night see you tomorrow!
