In Mirissa

Finally back on the beach. After we had moved into our room, we immediately secured two loungers on the beach, where we spent the rest of the afternoon. At 6 p.m. we had a date with Svea, a friend of Feli's, who was also here with her boyfriend. We met at the Doctor's House, a mix of restaurant, beach bar and club. There we ate, drank and danced until midnight, then unfortunately the party was already over.

The next morning, after being rudely awakened by the pastry tuk tuk with the typical music (Für Elise), we walked to Coconut Tree Hill and were lucky to be the first ones there.

Sri Lanka is a fishermen's island and we were able to observe this very well from our hotel. In the morning (at low tide) the men stood shoulder-deep in the water with their fishing rods. In the afternoon they went a little further out in their one-man boats.

In the afternoon we visited the No.1 Dewmini Roti Shop and ate our first real Roti. Afterwards we were a little disappointed that we had only just discovered it.

The next day was a pool/beach day and was for relaxation. Only in the evening did we allow ourselves to be tempted to have dinner at a beach club where the cutest puppy ever was running around and entertaining the guests.

And today it's time to leave again. We're going on to Galle!
