With my privileges, I belong to a minority of all Earth's inhabitants. Not only can I afford to pursue my Canadian dreams, maybe it's just a simple midlife crisis, but I am always supported in my whims by Annina. I have food in the fridge, a roof over my head, clothes on my back, and am therefore richer than 75% of the people in this world. My privileges urge me to use them, and it would be a shame not to fully enjoy life, especially when it has chosen me. That's why I reject the suffering Catholic life in this world, even though we all know how hard it can be. And despite all the hardship, the body wants to live, burst, dance, scream, sin, be in the world. Without that, no vegetable or yoga between heaven and earth can save it.
However, in order to recognize and use your privileges, two conditions must be met. 1. You must free yourself from the (self-imposed) cultural shackles. Although a cow learned as a calf that the wire pinches, the now 600 kg heavy animal can easily break through the fence. 2. The neurotransmitters in your brain must function so that depression and anxiety do not prevent you from enjoying your privileges.
If you can read my blog, then you and I are both privileged. On the one hand, you're interested in me, and on the other hand, you're not one of the 2,000,000,000 people who can't read.
Now I'm going to enjoy privileged skiing in 5m of snow.
