The National Cycle Route 1 accompanied us on our tour through England for a long time. One reason for me to ride it all the way to Dover. The route leads from north to south through London, along many kilometers of canals and well-maintained cycle paths - I can only recommend it from today on - London has many cycle paths - today I was able to ride directly into the city..... and it has a lot to offer.
Today (07.07.) was therefore reserved for London City - without luggage and trailer (left in the hotel) I explored the city by bike.....early in the morning mist I set off - nothing going on on the streets, only when I got closer to the city center it got busier. There are already a lot of people at the Tower Bridge, from different nationalities, sometimes it gets crowded, get off and push, but also many places that invite you to linger.... I rode several kilometers on both sides of the Thames, left and right into the city - not feasible on foot in one day.
Here's a tip for cyclists in England.... Take a look at:

This site was also very useful for us, also for London and the ride to Dover on path 1. You can scroll down to the street names.
