On every camping trip, we encounter different tame species of animals. While we had to deal with birds (Pale-winged Starling) at Spitzkoppe, here it is antelopes and mosquitoes. The starlings at Spitzkoppe even flew onto the pans of the gas burner when we turned our backs on it. At our current camping spot, antelopes are watching us with curiosity as we set up our tent, and they would love to lick our car and even us. Furthermore, the mosquitoes drove us into the rooftop tent yesterday at 6:30 PM. Besides being generally annoying, there is always the concern of malaria in Africa.
