Ella - Udawalawe (National Park)

Today we visited a guided tour of a tea plantation/factory. A must in Sri Lanka, known for its tea (Ceylon tea) and cinnamon! Even though we didn't understand everything, it was still informative and interesting. After that, we went to the Rawana waterfall, where Tommy even went for a swim in the pleasantly warm water. Meanwhile, I watched our backpacks (because of the monkeys).

After that, we continued to Udawalawe National Park, where we intend to stay for two nights. On the way, we already saw the first wild elephant. We found an incredibly beautiful accommodation and for the first time, I could use my hammock that I had been carrying for so long. Under our veranda, we saw a peacock, a real wild rabbit, and various birds. The pool is wonderfully warm and there are only four bungalows (I call them "Böngis"). Accordingly, it is quiet and private.
