After our last night in Dublin, we checked out of our accommodation. (As mentioned before, we can highly recommend LIV Student - the only drawback is that the double bed is about 1.20m-1.30m wide. It didn't bother us, but it depends on who you share the room with...). After that, we went for a full Irish breakfast. We were served black tea with milk or coffee. Alongside, we had fried eggs, bacon, beans in tomato sauce, toast, jam, sautéed mushrooms and tomato, sausages, and potatoes with onions. Then, we picked up the car from the parking garage and headed towards the Wicklow Mountains. The mountains in the south of Dublin are a recreational area for many Irish people. The pictures show the reason why. Sheep are often seen here on or by the road. In the mountains, we visited the highest waterfall in Ireland (although there was very little water). After that, we headed to Glendalough - a 1,400 year old monastery site. From there, we drove to Kilkenny, our destination for the day. The small town has a lively city center, a brewery, and its own castle. We stayed at the Tree Grove campsite. A caravan pitch there costs 24€ per night (including toilet, shower, etc.).

Insight of the day: There is not enough live music in Germany!
