Hello
Here is a short summary of last week, which was super cool: First of all, this week it was real summer here (before that, you always had to wear a thick jacket and long pants). On Monday, we built the last hay racks, and on Tuesday, we started taking off the hay from the first hay racks and bringing it to the ground. The first day was super fun because we could ride along on the hay trailer and jump on the hay all day. The next two days, we were all a little tired because we didn't do anything else but throw hay up in the air, which is a bit exhausting at around 30 degrees Celsius. But now we're used to it (no one is tired anymore, and it's fun again). The last few days, we've been going to the lake after work every day because we all had a 1 cm thick layer of dirt on our skin (other people always looked at us strangely). The trips to the lake were the best. Once, we all rode on the trailer of the tractor, once in an old VW camping bus with loud music, and once with nine people (and a dog) in an even older Volvo ;). And I saw 2 moose :) :) A female moose and a big bull moose. Yesterday, we had a nice barbecue and drank our homemade strawberry-rhubarb schnapps. Also, I built a bridge (which hopefully holds) and went horseback riding twice. The bridge thing was also a cool action. You can drive directly onto the ground with the tractor. There's a hill made of stones and then a approx. 1.5 m long wooden bridge. Maja and I were supposed to only replace the top 2 boards because they were a bit rotten. When we took them off, the support beams were completely rotten too, and we had 2 hours to rebuild the entire bridge because then the first load of hay arrived. And on top of that, all electric saws or chainsaws didn't work, so we had to saw everything by hand. (My arms were a bit sore afterwards). But we still managed to do it in 2 hours all by ourselves, and the bridge is definitely more stable than the previous one (we've driven over it with the tractor about 100 times so far, and it hasn't collapsed yet). And we went blueberry picking again. Blueberries are particularly good for the stomach, and you can also look better from eating them. They help against cancer, and it has been proven that you can think better when you eat blueberries. ;) We have blueberries with almost every meal here. :)
And the internet didn't work (that's why I'm writing now). Then it worked briefly again, but I think now it's really gone. That's why I probably won't be in touch again until I'm in Norway. :)
To all those waiting for a postcard from me...That's difficult. Until now, I've never been in a store or anywhere where you could buy something. And I don't think it will be any better in Norway. (The good thing is that I haven't spent a single cent yet) But I promise you that as soon as I see postcards, I will buy them. However, it will probably take another month until I find stamps and another month until I find a mailbox. You see: it's really difficult here. And don't get your hopes up too much.
