8. Day - The plateau

Today then the second short tour, just under 15 km.

Today's hike took us through the Rannoch Moor high moor area. This extensive area stretches far. At the end, we had a good view of the Glencoe Valley. There is also a ski area in Scotland. There was still some snow on the mountains.

We were fast again and after just over four hours we reached our destination, the Kingshouse Hotel. But we don't stay there today. We were supposed to be taken by taxi from there to our B & B in Glencoe at 4 p.m. We waited in vain for the taxi until about 5 p.m. Only the answering machine answered at the taxi company. Then we called the service number of our travel provider. They helped us and the taxi finally arrived at 5:30 p.m. Today we waited for the transfer almost as long as we hiked. Well, in the end everything was fine and we ended up where we wanted to go. Tomorrow we will (hopefully) be picked up again and taken back to the WHW to start our last of the three short tours.
