63. Kizimkazi (Zanzibar/Tanzania)

With Mohammed, who already drove us to the last accommodation (we find it too intense to drive with the small and overcrowded buses), we are now heading to the south of the island to Kizimkazi. We are staying in a stilted cottage not far from the beach!

The night before, there was a big storm and there has been a power outage on the whole island for many hours... unfortunately, this means there is no water (no shower, no toilet flush, etc.). It keeps happening afterwards as well and often everything is gone for many hours at a stretch.

And unfortunately, not only the water is gone, but also the sea - it seems to be there early in the morning at 6 o'clock (at least that's what someone who is awake that early told us), but definitely not after 10 o'clock and it only comes back after 5 o'clock...

Since it is not advisable to be alone in the small village, we can't do much and spend a lot of time in the beach bar next door,

there is plenty of fish,

and as always, hungry and affectionate animals.

We don't greet the two COVID deniers (there is no virus, it's all a lie, a big conspiracy, Bill Gates, etc.) with whom we unfortunately spent an evening - it was really disturbing hours...

In conclusion, bathroom doors are pretty cool and useful, and we look forward to having them again someday!
