They gave it their all, like in the old days.
Classics were played, but also more recent titles. And the 59,000 fans in Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium were happy to get carried away, just like in the old days.
For me, it was actually the first AC/DC live concert that I was able to experience. And I honestly admit that I had doubts about whether there would ever be another tour. For that reason alone, it had to finally work out this time.
However, I probably wouldn't go to Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium for a concert again. We didn't like the acoustics here, the music was much too loud and downright overdriven. We could only bear it with tissue plugs hastily stuck in our ears.
Nevertheless, we were there for every hit and so that you know what was played, here is the setlist:
1. If You Want Blood (You've Got It)
2. Back in Black
3. Demon Fire
4. Shot Down in Flames
5. Thunderstruck
6. Have a Drink on Me
7. Hell's Bells
8. Shot in the Dark
9. Stiff Upper Lip
10. Shoot to Thrill
11. Sin City
12. Rock 'n' Roll Train
13. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
14. High Voltage
15. Riff Raff
16. You Shook Me All Night Long
17. Highway to Hell
18. Whole Lotta Rosie
19. Let There Be Rock
Encores:
20. TNT
21. For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)
The atmosphere in the stadium was at its best towards the end. Once everyone had warmed up and everyone knew the songs, even the last person was on their feet.
In addition, the lighting effects were more effective and the many flashing red horns in the audience were the icing on the cake.
It was a shame for us that there were so many drunks around us. Even before we reached the first reef, they had drunk so much that they could no longer stand up straight. And of course they kept drinking. We were in a good position in terms of visibility, and the group of heavily intoxicated people obviously thought so too. That's why we were literally besieged by them.
My conclusion: The guys from AC/DC performed really well, and the setlist also deserves a thumbs up. A few more effects could have been used and unfortunately the sound in the stadium was really not good.
